Event Details

The 2026 new stage production "THE HUMAN", having evolved further through its national tour, returns to TAO's home region of Kyushu in December as "THE HUMAN 2", featuring new staging and direction!

The theme is humanity itself.
Through the dynamic energy born from rigorously trained bodies, the soul-stirring resonance of wadaiko (traditional Japanese taiko drumming), and a fusion of live performance and visual production, this show captures the overwhelming energy that human beings in their most raw form can unleash.

"Strip everything away and lay bare the power of humanity!"
A passion-filled stage where every member gives everything they have.
Experience the evolved "THE HUMAN 2" for yourself — live, in the venue.

【DRUM TAO Profile】
Over 10 million audience members worldwide!
Centered on the wadaiko (traditional Japanese taiko drum), DRUM TAO delivers "THE Japanese Entertainment" through overwhelming performances.
In 2016, their Off-Broadway run in New York sold out every performance, earning praise from Newsweek magazine: "TAO will become the 'face' that sells Japan to the world!"
From 2017, they held up to 500 performances per year at their permanent Tokyo theater "Mankakyo." In 2020, the open-air permanent theater "TAO no Oka" (TAO Hill) opened within Aso Kuju National Park, offering breathtaking natural scenery.
In 2022, the NEW project "CLUB TAO" launched, with long-run performances in Tokyo and Osaka as well as appearances at major clubs.
In April 2026, a dedicated theater, "DRUM TAO THEATER KYOTO", will open in Kyoto.
Currently, performances are carried out by four separate units: an international tour unit, a domestic tour unit, a dedicated permanent theater unit in Kyoto, and a dedicated open-air permanent theater unit.
Recipients of numerous honors, including the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award, the Commissioner for the Japan Tourism Agency Award, the Oita Prefecture Cultural Merit Award, and the Taketa City Cultural Creation Award.
