How to Enjoy the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters' Home Stadium, ES CON Field HOKKAIDO
Aug 22,2025 Update
About 30 minutes by train and shuttle bus from New Chitose Airport. Located in Kitahiroshima City, Hokkaido, ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO—the home stadium of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters—is surrounded by the vast nature of Kitahiroshima. This natural grass ballpark with a retractable roof opened on March 14, 2023. A major feature is the installation of two world-class large vision screens.
The area that includes this new ballpark, HOKKAIDO BALLPARK F VILLAGE, spans approximately 32 hectares and has become a complete town with various facilities. This ballpark the world has never seen harmonizes with the surrounding environment and is packed with new experiences.

The glass wall of ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO uses over 1,000 pieces of glass. Standing approximately 70m high and 180m wide, it is registered in the Guinness World Records™ as the largest continuous glass facade among sports stadiums worldwide.
'F-meshi' featuring Hokkaido's unique cuisine
ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO offers abundant gourmet options, including those unique to Hokkaido. Here's an introduction to some of them, starting with luxurious seafood bowls.

The 'Hiromi no Wagamama-don' from 〈Kaimi Hachikyo〉 is a menu item produced by pitcher Ito Hiromi, who contributed to Japan's victory in the World Baseball Classic 2023. This truly indulgent dish covers white rice with specialty products from his hometown and ingredients he has connections with. The ingredients include seven items: tuna, crab, salmon roe, cod roe, shrimp, surf clam, and octopus. The wakame seaweed shaped like Hokkaido is adorably engraved with pitcher Ito Hiromi's uniform number and name.
The restaurant also has counter seats where you can enjoy the famous salmon roe bowl 'Tsukko-meshi'. Please try the local sake along with carefully selected ingredients, primarily from Hokkaido.

For those who want to enjoy ramen, which is popular among overseas visitors, here's an option. From "Nanatsuboshi Yokocho" with its retro Showa-era atmosphere, 〈Menya Yuko〉 offers 'Kiyomiya Kotaro player's happiness serving'. This popular restaurant from Kyoto Prefecture, a ramen battleground, has opened a branch here.
The dish uses char siu so generously that it hides the noodles, giving you a sense of the punch that's characteristic of player Kiyomiya Kotaro. The soup combines broth from clams, corbicula clams, and oysters with soy sauce for a gentle flavor that spreads a wonderful aroma with each sip. The medium-thick noodles have great texture and pair excellently with the soup. This is truly Japanese ramen in taste.
"Nanatsuboshi Yokocho" operates not only on game days but also on weekends and holidays when there are no games.

For a different taste of seafood, we chose 'Ariel Martinez player's Is this so delicious, Ariel? Martinez chirashi sushi' from 〈Hokkaido Kani Shogun〉 (※collaborative gourmet crab chirashi sushi with player Ariel Martinez). As the restaurant name suggests, this dish is packed with an overwhelming amount of crab.
Chirashi sushi is sushi where various ingredients are arranged to "scatter" on top of vinegared rice. The ingredients luxuriously include snow crab meat, snow crab claws, and salmon roe. This is an irresistible dish for crab lovers, allowing you to enjoy both tender flaked meat and plump claw meat.

For a luxurious gourmet experience, try "Chusei Mannami's Manly Manchu Ginger Highball," which won't get in the way of your meal. This highball is accented with grated ginger pulp and has a refreshing taste. This drink can be purchased from some stores and vendors inside the stadium.

When you come to ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO, you can't miss the craft beer from 〈Sora to Shiba by Yona Yona Ale〉. Amazingly, this beer is brewed right inside the ballpark. The 'Sora to Shiba Play Ball! Ale' we're introducing today is fruity with little bitterness, offering an easy-to-drink, refreshing taste.
〈Sora to Shiba by Yona Yona Ale〉 is the world's first craft beer brewing restaurant with a view overlooking the field. On the second floor above the center back screen, there are rooftop seats where you can overlook the field. Watching baseball in an open space with craft beer in hand—it's truly a dream-like experience.

Hokkaido is also famous for its dairy farms. For dessert, we recommend the 'Challenge the Limit! Extra Large TRY Soft Serve Ice Cream' from 〈Machimura Farm〉. You can enjoy rich, creamy soft serve ice cream made with fresh milk from their own dairy farm. This product is three times the regular size—enough to satisfy even when shared.
The contents are packed with caramel sauce, nuts, chocolate sauce, chocolate crunch, berry sauce, and rice dumplings. Since the flavors keep changing, you can enjoy it without getting bored.
Player gourmet items feature adorable picks with deformed player illustrations and original cups. Please enjoy the Fighters' gourmet offerings that show attention to detail not only in taste but also in visual presentation.
Player-Signed Cheering Towels: The Classic Must-Have — Plus Cute Japan-Inspired Goods

ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO has the flagship store 〈FIGHTERS FLAGSHIP STORE〉 as well as merchandise shops throughout the venue. They sell uniforms and towels, of course, but also apparel, souvenir sweets, and miscellaneous goods.

The Fighters' classic support goods 'Player Autograph Cheering Towels' are towels where each player has written their own name with a brush. The appeal is that you can feel each player's personality through their handwriting style. Even foreign players write their names in Japanese by hand.

For those who want goods with a Japanese feel, we recommend the 'Good Fortune! F-tan Daruma Plush Toy'. This is an adorable plush toy of "Kuma no Ko F-tan," the official character of HOKKAIDO BALLPARK F VILLAGE, dressed as a daruma doll.
A daruma is a Japanese good luck charm—a doll that gets back up even when knocked down. While red is the mainstream color, this one is based on blue, which is characteristic of the Fighters. With the character for "victory" on its chest, it will pray with all its might for the owner's good fortune, including "family safety," "romantic fulfillment," and "prayers for certain victory." Please take it home and display it.

The 'Shakemaru Balloon (with bell)' serves as a noise-making cheering good inside the ballpark and as Japanese-style interior decoration at home. "Shakemaru" is the Fighters' cheering character modeled after salmon. Like salmon that have the habit of returning to their mother river, it was created with prayers for players to return home.

For those who want to enjoy cheering unique to the Fighters, check out the 'Fighters Fox Dance Ear Headband' and 'Fighters Fox Dance Tail'.
The Fighters are also famous for their official cheer team, Fighters Girls, who perform before games and between innings. Most famous among their performances is the "Fox Dance" performed to the song 'The Fox'. It became a huge hit in Japan in 2022 and even appeared on 'Kohaku Uta Gassen', Japan's most famous music program.
The choreography is an adorable dance that you can watch and imitate on the spot. With the 'ear headband' and 'tail' on, dancing along is guaranteed to get everyone excited.
Can’t-Miss Photo Spots Around the Stadium

ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO has many photo spots. Here we'll pick out and introduce some of them. Outside the ballpark, the 'F-san Welcome Monument' greets you.

Giant wall art is painted inside the ballpark. On the wall of the "TOWER 11" 1F concourse side, pitcher Yu Darvish (Padres) and Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers), who are active on the front lines of Major League Baseball, are depicted. Both players are Fighters alumni.

This is the giant wall art of pitcher Hiromi Ito and Chusei Mannami painted at the craft beer brewing restaurant 〈Sora to Shiba by Yona Yona Ale〉. Dynamic compositions are expressed on the approximately 10m high wall surface. This is the latest photo spot, completed just in July 2025.

On its side is the Fighters 50th anniversary commemorative wall art. Legendary managers and legendary players who have woven 50 years of history are depicted.
The wall art introduced so far was created by "OVER ALLs". The powerful art is sure to remain a lifelong memory.
On the right field escalator, Fighters' historical championship flags were displayed.

ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO is a dream-like place packed with attractions
